Family Services of Central Massachusetts will become an affiliate of the Seven Hills Foundation in January, the Worcester nonprofits said on Thursday.

Founded more than 130 years ago, Family Services has $3.2 million in annual income, according to its filings with the Internal Revenue Service. It offers individual, child and family counseling, employee assistance, home care, community mediation, senior volunteer and companion opportunities, and professional development for early child care providers.

With its headquarters in Worcester, Seven Hills offers program sites at 160 locations in Massachusetts and Rhode Island employing nearly 4,000 professionals. Seven Hills is the region's largest nonprofit, with $220 million in annual income, servicing more than 45,000 though its 13 affiliate organizations.

The deal will enable both organizations to build stronger programs for children, adults and seniors, utilizing the strengths and resources of both nonprofits, they said in a joint press release.
