Natick-based Cognex Corp. has accepted a settlement offer in a patent infringement complaint against Multitest Elektronische Systeme.
Cognex alleged that Germany-based Multitest and an American subsidiary imported and sold equipment software that infringed upon at least three Cognex patents. Cognex designs and manufactures machine vision sensors used to monitor and control industrial production lines and other equipment.
In addition to Multitest, the International Trade Commission is also investigating 20 other companies for violating Cognex patents.
Terms of the settlement with Multitest were not disclosed.
