SeraCare partners with Texas co.

SeraCare Life Sciences has partnered with Houston-based AAB Proficiency Testing Service (AAB) to develop a genetic screening reference material, SeraCare announced Wednesday.
The material will use preimplantation genetic screening, which is a technique used to evaluate cells from in vitro fertilization embryos for the presence of an abnormal amount of chromosomes. It will serve as reliable reference material to use with tests created by AAB, according to a release from SeraCare.
Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
