Sepaton Inc., a Marlborough-based data security firm, said it has appointed former Egenera President and CEO Mike Thompson as executive vice president of worldwide sales and marketing.
Thompson will have authority over all of the company's worldwide sales, channel sales, sales operations, professional services and marketing functions. He will report directly to Mike Worhach, the company's president and CEO.
Thompson is a mathematician by training and has been in technology marketing for the last 25 years. Before heading Egenera, which is also based in Marlborough, he was vice president of worldwide sales and marketing at Stratus Technologies.
Thompson was Egenera's CEO from 2000 to 2009.
