Marlborough-based Sepaton has been awarded a patent for a process that improves deduplication ratios and speed, the company announced Tuesday.
Sepaton, which makes data backup and recovery software for corporate technology organizations, now has 17 patents covering different aspects of enterprise data protection.
“As we continue to see rapidly growing volumes and new types of data permeate data centers, companies need to ensure they can protect these assets with certainty,” Jeff Tofano, the company’s chief technology officer, said in a statement.
