Sen To Become BJs CEO In February

In what the company says is part of a planned succession, BJ’s Wholesale Club of Natick will make President and COO Laura Sen its new CEO.

Sen has worked for BJ’s since 1989 and became president and COO last January. She’ll take the CEO title in February from Herb Zarkin, who will remain as chairman of the company’s board of directors and is up for reelection to the board in May 2010. Zarkin had previously planned to retire from the board in May 2010.

Sen’s title will be president and CEO and she will continue to be a member of the company’s board of directors.
