Seaman Paper Co. has named Ken Winterhalter as the company's new CEO, the Gardner manufacturer announced on Monday.
Winterhalter most recently worked as the CEO and president of Twin Rivers Paper Co., which has offices in Nebraska, New York, Maine and Mississippi.
“Seaman’s growth over the last decade has necessitated that we strengthen our ability to manage and optimize both operational and financial performance," said George Jones, chairman of Seaman's Board of Directors, in a statement. "Ken’s demonstrated ability to build sustainable businesses while simultaneously delivering operational efficiencies and market growth will help to successfully position the company for the future.”
Before Twin Papers, Winterhalter was CEO and president of New York manufacturer National Envelope, and president of U.S. operations at international paper products distributor Unisource Worldwide.
“I feel blessed to be joining such an historic, family-owned organization. The people values and growth orientation in which they operate are entirely consistent with my core beliefs," Winterhalter said in a statement. "I am thrilled to lead the organization through this exciting transition period.”
Seaman Paper Co. is a family-owned manufacturing company that has been in business since 1946. Prior to Winterhalter, the company was headed by George Jones IIIl. The company did not immediately respond to questions about his departure from the CEO position and Jones' LinkedIn profile still lists him as an owner of the company.
