Seagate Technology, which has about 400 employees in Central Massachusetts, said this morning that a member of its board of directors has resigned.
Michael R. Cannon submitted his resignation as director on the company’s board Tuesday, effective immediately.
According to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Cannon decided to leave the board because of “the demands of his new role at Dell.”
Cannon was hired by computer maker Dell to serve as president of global operations.
Seagate, which is based in Scotts Valley, Calif., is a supplier of hard disk drives.
