Yossi Aloni has been appointed the new senior vice president and chief commercial officer at SeaChange International.
Aloni will head SeaChange’s global sales and marketing and will help the company with its recently launched value-based engagement model, the company announced Wednesday.
Aloni was most recently the chief of corporate operations at ATEME, a French video infrastructure vendor. He has served in sales, marketing and engineering positions with several major video industry companies.
Aloni's broad technical background and extensive industry experience made him an ideal addition to the SeaChange leadership team, said Ed Terino, the SeaChange CEO.
Aloni joins SeaChange at a time when the Acton company is striving for a comeback on the popularity of video streaming services.
Revenue in the most recent quarter was $18.6 million, down from $23.4 million in the third quarter last year. The company's net loss was $3.8 million for the quarter.
SeaChange said last month it will make cuts equal to $6 million in annual savings, in part due to the laying off of 17 workers.
