SCIEX partnership promises to speed drug development

Framingham’s SCIEX life sciences analytics company announced a partnership with Swiss biopharma group Genedata, marrying hardware and software technology to allow customers to develop drugs more rapidly.

The partnership will be instrumental in helping customers develop antibodies, according to a Thursday press release from SCIEX. By partnering with a biopharma enterprise, SCIEX can address customer challenges related to the complexity of variants.

“This will ultimately accelerate discovery, development, and commercialization of novel biopharmaceuticals, while reducing costs by streamlining and automating complex analytical processes,” said Othmar Pfannes, CEO of Genedata, in a statement.

SCIEX was founded in 1981 and develops technology and solutions to support the life sciences worldwide.
