The Savers Bank in Southbridge hired Daniel Serafin as its new chief information officer, the bank announced on Friday.
Serafin previously worked as the CIO and senior vice president of Avidia Bank in Hudson, and brings with him more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, according to the announcement.
Serafin lives in Millbury and holds a bachelor's degree in information technology from UMass Lowell, and is a certified information systems security professional. He is certified in information technology from the ITIL Foundation and is a certified network engineer. Serafin joined Savers officially in March.
Vanessa Stratton, who has been with Savers since November 2017, to vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer. She most recently was vice president, treasurer and controller. Stratton is a CPA.
Aside from Serafin's hire, several other high-level company leaders recently received promotions. Among them are Keri Gonzalez, who was promoted from vice president of deposit operations and e-services to senior vice president for operations and e-services; and Peter Kaslauskas, who was promoted from vice president of investments to senior vice president for investments, according to the announcement
