Financial Advisor, Morgan Stanley, Worcester
Birthplace: Worcester
Residence: Worcester
High school: St. John’s High School, Shrewsbury
College and degree earned: Bachelor’s degree, Harvard University
Career highlights: My brother (Jim IV) and I working alongside our grandfather, Jim Kenary Jr. His perspectives on business (65 years), family, faith and community have been transformative. And his sense of humor makes the office a very fun place.
Community involvement: Along with my two brothers, I have been hosting happy hours and exercise groups for friends and “friends of friends.” It’s a great way to meet other young folks. I am also active in the Young Businessmen’s Association, the Harvard Club of Worcester and Old Sturbridge Village.
Ultimate career goal: Connect clients and colleagues to the people, ideas and solutions that make their lives better.
Non-relative you admire most: Jeannine Lusignan. Her positive attitude, professional ability, and commitment to her family and colleagues make her both a personal and professional role model.
Favorite book: “Riley’s Luck,” by Louis L’Amour
Hidden talents: Ranching. I lived and worked on a 72,000-acre beef cattle ranch in Wyoming for a year before college.
“By the time I turn 50, I’d like to have accomplished … a meaningful role in Worcester’s efforts to retain and locally employ a large portion of the city’s many college graduates.”
