SALMON Health and Retirement has named Susan Dooley as the Milford senior care provider’s new chief marketing officer.

In SALMON Health’s C-suite, Dooley will manage the organization's marketing and acquisition strategies, working to develop and executive marketing plans, boost brand awareness, and cultivate engagement among residents, families, and the community, according to Tuesday press release from SALMON Health.

“We are thrilled to welcome Susan to our family. Her extensive experience in marketing and dedication to enhancing customer experience will be instrumental in conveying our customer promise message. We are confident that her leadership will drive our acquisition strategies to new heights, further solidifying our position as a premier provider of senior living services,” SALMON CEO Matt Salmon said in the release.

SALMON didn’t disclose who Dooley is replacing. Jenna Anderson previously served as SALMON Health’s chief sales and marketing officer, and she left the position in March 2023 to join Boston-based Marlo Marketing as vice president, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Dooley has 20+ years experience in marketing, most recently working as chief customer officer for Newton-based senior living provider AlerisLife and its operating division Five Star Senior Living.

Dooley is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire and has completed coursework in leadership from Stanford University in California and in digital marketing from Northwestern University in Illinois.

“Living so close to our five campuses gives me the opportunity to directly connect and communicate with our current and future residents and their families,” Dooley said in the release. “Having experienced the senior living journey with my own mother, I know how complicated it can be. The Salmon family and their team of compassionate caregivers make that journey easier.”
