Westborough-based SALMON Health and Retirement has partnered with CVS Health to help vaccinate the company’s 700 residents and 1,500 staff members beginning during a Dec. 28 clinic, the company announced on Friday.
UMass Memorial Health Care of Worcester will help SALMON staff prepare for the vaccine clinic.
“Staff at UMass Memorial Health Care invited director of nursing on our Worcester campus, Nicole Croteau, to observe a drill they held in order to help prepare us for the vaccine clinic,” said SALMON director of clinical services Deborah Freedman, in a statement. “They provided great guidance on how to run these clinics and what to expect.”
That shadowing, SALMON said, is useful because of how quickly the vaccine rollout is taking place.
As the company continues to plan for the vaccination clinic, Freedman said, staff are hopeful.
“There is a light at the end of the tunnel,” she said.
