Littleton-based Dover Saddlery lost $359,000 in the first quarter of 2007 and saw net revenues drop 4.9 percent to $17.7 million.
The loss was 61 percent less than in the same quarter last year, when Dover lost $915,000, mainly due to a lawsuit settlement.
The company said the continuing loss was a result of soft customer demand. It also said it is reviewing its plan to open four to six new retail stores this year in light of the weak retail environment.
