RXi Launches Pact With Colorado Company

Worcester's RXi Pharmaceuticals Corp. has entered into a research collaboration with a Boulder, Colo., biopharmaceutical company, miRagen Therapeutics Inc.
Both companies study solutions for treating disorders through RNA. Researchers at both companies hope to find ways their individual products can work together through the research agreement.
MiRagen specializes in treating cardiovascular and muscle disorders.
Financials of the agreement were not released.
"Success with this approach may allow us to expand the utility of RXi's therapeutic platform, as well as the commercial scope of product opportunities," Noah Beerman, president and CEO of RXi, said in a statement.
