Gov. Deval Patrick announced $6 million for improvements to Route 146 near the Millbury-Sutton town line this morning.
The project is in addition to a $7.6 million resurfacing project along the same road. Construction is set to begin next year.
Route 146 is a major north-south route between Worcester and Rhode Island, and it provides access to Routes 9 and 20 and Interstate 290. The $6 million improvement project will install turning lanes and upgrade traffic signals along the road.
