Price Chopper Supermarkets and Wal-Mart have both removed Enfamil Newborn formula from their store shelves because of a potential link between the baby formula and the death of an infant in Missouri.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is testing the product for a bacterium called Cronobacter, but has not yet found reason to mandate a recall.
Price Chopper said the formula was sold in its stores between Nov. 2 and Dec. 22. The UPC code on the 12.5-ounce cans is 30087510051.
Wal-Mart said its lot number on the cans is Zp1K7G.
