David Celuzza of Slattery's Restaurant in Fitchburg was elected president of the Southborough-based Massachusetts Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (MRAEF) for 2009-2010.
Celuzza has been an active member in the association for 23 years. He has held the positions of MRA president, first vice president, and member of the MRA board of directors.
Other officers include Robert Milliken of New England Coffee Co. in Malden who was elected to be vice president of the MRAEF after serving as a board officer. Linda Zammer of Cape Cod Restaurants Inc. in Falmouth was appointed as treasurer of the foundation.
MRAEF also welcomed three new directors to the board: Cathie Baines of Whittier Regional Technical High School in Haverhill; William Zammer of Cape Cod Restaurants Inc. in Falmouth and Thomas J. Galligan III of Papa Gino's Holding Corp. in Dedham, who was MRA chairman of the board for 2008-2009.
Joining the newcomers are veteran directors who will remain on the board this year, including: Alan Ayres of Corporate Chefs Inc. in Haverhill; Manny Paula of Kelly's Roast Beef Inc. in Saugus; Joe Piantedosi of Piantedosi Baking Co. Inc. of Malden; Raphael Oliver of Top of the Hub in Boston; Christine San Juan of Bertucci's Corp. in Northborough; Tom Shea of Briar Group in Brighton and Ernie Tremblay of Sylvan Street Grille in Peabody.
