Various city government officials, politicians, College of the Holy Cross students, faculty and neighbors of the college are scheduled to cut the ribbon on a Worcester park restoration project that’s been eight years in the making.
The group will hold the ceremony Tuesday at Cookson Park, which until 2000 was neglected, overgrown and unsafe. The restoration of the 185-acre tract was planned by the city, paid for by Holy Cross and performed by students and neighborhood residents.
The ribbon-cutting is scheduled for 3 p.m. tomorrow on Kendig Street, off College Street.
