Electric Hydrogen Co., a renewable energy firm with offices in Natick and California, signed a 20,400-square-foot lease expansion in Natick, according to a press release from Lincoln Property Co., the Texas-based real estate agency which completed the lease.
Electric Hydrogen has leased space in Natick for five months, occupying a 10,200-square-foot facility at 1 Strathmore Road, per the release dated Nov. 2. The lease expansion will spread the company into a neighboring office building at 3Â Strathmore Road, which is twice the size.
The company was founded by former employees of First Solar, an Arizona solar panel manufacturer, and California electric vehicle company Tesla, Inc. It aims to lessen the world’s dependence on fossil fuels by decarbonizing the industrial sector.
The building’s owner, an affiliate of LPC, was represented by the Lincoln Property Co.. Previously, 1 and 3 Strathmore Road were leased by MilliporeSigma, a Burlington-based life sciences business.
