Reliant Medical Group has unveiled its newest ReadyMED urgent care location on Shrewsbury Street. The site will also house the healthcare system’s adult and pediatric urgent care services, which are currently located on Plantation Street.
The new 14,000 square foot facility is the organization’s fifth ReadyMED and the first that will be able to treat people of all ages, according to the organization. The Shrewsbury Street site will also offer on-site CT scans and intravenous treatment options, including the ability to treat patients with chronic conditions who require regular infusion services.
ReadyMED sites are staffed by advanced practitioners and physicians along with other medical staff, and are open seven days a week. ReadyMED fills an important service gap for people who have non-emergency medical conditions at times when they are unable to see their personal physicians, according to Reliant.
The new site will open to the general public on Wednesday.
