Reliant Medical Group will open its latest new Central Massachusetts office on Monday in a former Price Chopper space in Shrewsbury.
The facility at the former Fairlawn Plaza at 378 Maple Ave. includes internal medicine and laboratory services moved from Reliant's offices at Lake Avenue North in Worcester and pediatrics services relocated from Plantation Street in Worcester. Radiology services will be available at the 31,000-square-foot facility.
Reliant's new facility is part of a rebranded and overhauled retail plaza just off Route 9 that is now called MarketPlace Shrewsbury. Imperial Buffet and the Indian restaurant Udupi are located there.
Reliant has made a series of moves in recent months leading to new offices across Central Massachusetts in what the company has called a major initiative to change the way it provides care.
Most recently, Reliant opened a new office in former Macy's space at the Auburn Mall in February with a broad range of services including internal medicine, behavioral health, radiology, and obstetrics and gynecology. Endoscopy services will move there by April 15.
In December, Reliant opened a 68,000-square-foot facility at 225 Lancaster Road in Leominster consolidating services from locations in Fitchburg and Leominster. In the last six months, Reliant has opened a 120,000-square-foot office at 5 Neponset St. next to the Greendale Mall in Worcester and a facility at a former Habitat for Humanity store on Gold Star Boulevard in Worcester.
