Reliant Foundation fundraising for behavioral health services

The Reliant Foundation is launching its annual fall fundraising appeal with a particular challenge: helping care entities help people during the coronavirus pandemic.

The foundation, a nonprofit formerly affiliated with Worcester's Reliant Medical Group, has a goal of distributing $700,000 in grants. The foundation typically delivers grants to increase mental and behavioral health services, and substance abuse disorder and recovery programs across Central Massachusetts. This year, it's adding another goal: aiding entities working to best care for patients during the pandemic.

The Reliant Foundation has already distributed more than $220,000 in pandemic-related emergency funding this year to 35 nonprofits, some of which are a lifeline for vulnerable residents. It hopes that its fall fundraising will support more than 50 nonprofits and benefit more than 100,000 people across the region.
