Dr. Jack Dutzar, president and CEO of Reliant Medical Group, will retire next year, the physician's group announced today.
Dutzar will remain in his current role until his retirement in March 2013.
He has led the independent physician's group, which until last year was known as Fallon Clinic, for the past four years.
During that time, Reliant changed its name, became the sixth member of Atrius Health - a nonprofit alliance of medical groups - and received recognition for its early adoption of electronic medical record systems.
Reliant released a memo circulated amongst its staff from Robert Yood, chairman of the group's board of trustees.
"He has brought tremendous insight to our organization and set us on a path toward future success," Yood wrote.
