Worcester-based Reliant Medical Group, an affiliate of Atrius Health, announced yesterday that it has acquired Chadwick Medical Associates of Worcester.
The addition of Chadwick to the Reliant healthcare system is expected to add some 6,000 patients to the more than 200,000 currently being served by Reliant, the company said.
Chadwick’s current clinical staff, practice manager and other support staff will continue operate out of its current 385 Grove St. location, Reliant said.
Reliant has at least 250 doctors and 1,700 employees across more than 20 locations in Central Massachusetts.
Representatives from both organizations are finalizing details and working to create a transition plan for staff and patients, Reliant said. Current Chadwick patients have received communication about the transition over the past several days. Â Â
