Rehabilitative Resources Inc. CEO Michael Coughlin announced Friday that he will resign after nine months with the company.
“I am leaving for personal reasons primarily to pursue opportunities closer to my home in Maine,” he said in a statement. “The success of RRI (Rehabilitative Resources) will certainly continue because of its employees and the vision of the board of directors.”
The Sturbridge-based company has 43 residential site programs in Central Massachusetts for adults with developmental disabilities.
Coughlin’s resignation will take effect Oct. 14. Assistant CEO Dorothy Cote will be acting CEO until a permanent replacement is found, the company said.
The board of directors plans to begin recruiting a new CEO immediately, RRI said.
