In partnership with State House News Service, the Worcester Business Journal will host a life sciences forum on March 7 at the DCU Center in Worcester.

The 2023 Central Mass Life Sciences Forum will bring leaders from the life sciences industry, government, investors, research and educational institutions as well as community leaders from the region to discuss the development and future of the field in the region.

Kendalle O'Connell, president and CEO of the industry association Massachusetts Biotechnology Council, will serve as the forum’s keynote speaker. There will be two panel discussions: “Why Central Mass?” and “The Real Estate Story.”

The “Why Central Mass?” discussion will be a chance for local industry leaders to talk about the opportunities and roadblocks to growth they have experienced in the region as well as the effect of industry clusters of research and resources, and how that can help recruit life science companies and drive growth.

For “The Real Estate Story,” the panel will focus on flushing out where industry development exists and how the region accommodates life sciences growth with limited space.

The forum will run from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. For registration information and a list of panelists, click here.
