The Worcester Business Journal will host its annual Diversity and Inclusion Forum on Thursday at Worcester’s DCU Center.
The event will focus on helping develop a deeper understanding of how the impact of a well run DEI structure can improve operational performance, while also enriching the community. The forum serves to educate and inspire business and community leaders to help deliver meaningful cultural change and positive business results. Register here.
This year’s forum will feature a special keynote presentation by Jeff Fuhrer, non-resident fellow at the Brookings Institute in Washington, D.C. and a foundation fellow at the Eastern Bank Foundation in Lynn, in which Fuhrer will discuss his new book, “The Myth That Made Us.”
The panel at this year’s forum will feature seasoned business professionals discussing their experiences with fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion. The discussion will be moderated by Valerie Zolezzi-Wyndham, founder and owner of Upton-based Promoting Good. Panels will include Hayley Haywood, founder and chief equity officer of Elevating Access in Worcester; Sheila King-Goodwin, senior vice president of the chief community banking office and chairperson of the inclusion and diversity advisory board at Fidelity Bank in Leominster; Jess Lee, director of DEI at Waters Corp. in Milford, and; Richard Van Nostrand, general counsel at Worcester law firm Mirick O’Connell.
The forum will take place from 3 to 6 p.m. in the Junior Ballroom at the DCU Center.
