The Worcester Business Journal will host the Massachusetts Energy Summit on May 12 at the DCU Center in Worcester.
The event will focus on how businesses, organizations, and municipalities can navigate a challenging energy marketplace, reduce costs, take advantage of government incentives, and reduce their carbon footprint. Register here.
The keynote speaker is Massachusetts Undersecretary of Energy Michael Judge.
Two panels will be held after Judge’s keynote. The first will cover how to access state and federal incentives. Panelists include Jennifer Daloisio, CEO of the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center; Muthu Jeevanantham, general manager for Bonded and Super Abrasives - North America, Saint-Gobain Abrasives in Worcester; and State Rep. Jeffrey Roy (D-Franklin), chair of the state legislature’s Utilities & Energy Committee. That panel will be hosted by Amanda Zuretti of Worcester law firm Bowditch & Dewey.
The second panel will cover how to navigate regulation in implementing clean energy solutions. Panelists include David O'Connor, president of O'Connor Energy Consulting in Boston; Stuart Ormsbee, vice president for power supply strategies at Colonial Power Group in Marlborough; and Joanna Troy, director of energy policy and planning for the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources. The panel will be hosted by Michael Ahern, director of power systems at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
The summit will take place at the DCU Center from 7:30 a.m. to noon.
