Region's Philanthropists Recognized By Fundraising Group

The Central Massachusetts chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals celebrated National Philanthropy Day recently by honoring six businesses and individuals who have made significant donations in the region.
The honorees were the Massachusetts Junior Chamber of Commerce; the Walmart Foundation; Bob Brack of Natick; Ken and Gayle Vonasek of Marlborough; the Massachusetts Medical Society & Alliance Charitable Foundation and Maryellen Pini of Medway.
The organizations to receive gifts of money or time from the honorees included Employment Options, HMEA, the Natick VNA and the MetroWest Boys & Girls Club.
The Central Mass. chapter of the AFP is one of 180 chapters worldwide.
