Regional Tourism Council awarded millions in grants

The Dept. of Business and Technology (DBT) and Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism (MOTT) awarded $7,925,000 in funds to the Bay State's 13 Regional Tourism Councils (RTC's) to advertise, promote, and generate tourism spending in Massachusetts.
Tourism is the state's third largest industry, generating more than $808 million in state and local taxes, and nearly $1.25 billion in travel-related expenditures. Over 31 million visitors come to Massachusetts each year.
