Regan To Take Reins At DCU

Digital Federal Credit Union will make long-time CFO James Regan its new president and CEO next year.

The Marlborough-based credit union made the announcement today. Regan will take on the position after current President and CEO Carlo Cestra retires in March.

Cestra has led the credit union for 14 years. During that time, DCU said, membership has risen from 67,000 to 367,000. It is by far the largest credit union in Central Massachusetts, with more than $4.3 billion in assets.

Regan started work at the credit union in 1991 as an internal auditor. He has been senior vice president and CFO since 1996.

Regan is a graduate of the University of Lowell and a certified public accountant.
