Redemption Rock Brewing Co., Worcester’ fifth brewery and second on Shrewsbury Street, will open Saturday.
The brewery is holding a grand opening event beginning at noon Saturday. The city’s newest brewery is offering four beers on tap to start.
The company began building out its Shrewsbury Street space last summer in a former 6,000-square-foot Coca-Cola bottling plant.
The grand opening event will feature live music, local food pop-ups and beer to-go.
CEO Danielle Babineau told WBJ in September the taproom will have a laid back vibe where customers can hang out and enjoy the beer and listen to live music in an indoor patio space.
The company is a benefit corporation, which per state law, is a company that considers the social and environmental impacts of their decision making.
Employees will be given the company's books, as Babineau plans to utilize open-book management, a style of employment involving employees in the financial aspects of the company.
