Recovery Centers of America at Westminster has named Kat Stevens as its new CEO, the center announced on Tuesday.
Stevens has served as executive director of the RCA facility since 2017 and has more than 15 years of experience in behavioral healthcare, including 12 years of experience treating substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health disorders, according to the announcement. She has a master's degree in counseling psychology from Assumption University, with concentrations in cognitive behavioral therapy and child and family interventions, as well as a bachelor's in psychology with a concentration in women's studies from Worcester State University.
“I have been in the trenches for a long time with patients who suffer from the disease of substance use disorder,” Stevens said in a statement. “These patients need the very best clinical treatment and they need to be treated with dignity with a full continuum of care and a recovery support network.”
RCA at Westminster is a 90-bed substance use disorder facility that provides a wide array of care, including detox care, clinical stabilization services, medication assisted treatment and outpatient services. The institution also runs specialized programs for those who relapse, patients with trauma histories, older adults and first responders, according to a press release.
