Recession-Proof Jobs
No matter what the stock market is doing these days, people with certain financial, technological and administrative skills don't have to worry.
New 2009 salary guides released by Robert Half International detail which jobs will be in high demand, and which workers will be able to demand higher salaries. According to the projections, health care admissions clerks, information systems security managers and senior tax accountants are some of the people who can expect their pay scales to rise by well over 4 percent.
In New England, the reports say, in-demand jobs will include administrative assistant, customer service representative, tax accountant, financial analyst, staff accountant, web developer, help desk staff and database administrator.
