Realtors Optimistic About Mass. Market

The Massachusetts Association of Realtors' Market Index, which tracks residential sales, hit 51.76 in April, the first time the index has scored above the neutral 50 mark since it was created in 2008.
In April 2009, the index registered a score of 27.82.
MAR's Price Index was also above 50 last month, at 55.59. Last year, it was at 40.41.
The association noted that it has recorded sales increases for nine consecutive months. It said that prices are likely to continue their modest increases even though federal tax credits for homebuyers have expired.
