Readers Weigh In On Higher Minimum Wage

State lawmakers this year have debated an increase in the state’s minimum hourly wage — already above the national minimum — from $8. While that has met resistance from business groups, House Speaker Robert DeLeo has said he may want to tie a hike in the wage to reforms to unemployment insurance paid by businesses.
