Readers Weigh In: Can Leominster Strike It Rich in Slots Sweepstakes?
Now that Leominster voters have endorsed the proposal by Cordish Cos. for a slots parlor in the city, by a margin of 61 to 39 percent, it joins two other communities — Plainville and Raynham — in the quest for the single slots parlor license under the 2011 gaming expansion law. In our Flash Poll for the week of Sept. 30, nearly two-thirds of voters said the city has a strong chance of winning.
