Worcester nonprofit RCAP Solutions announced on Monday it is transitioning interim president and CEO Brian Scales to the permanent leadership role.
Scales was previously named interim president and CEO in March, following the retirement of the CEO Karen Koller, who held the position for 21 years. Scales has been with RCAP since 2008, and prior to that served as director of development at the nonprofit Cleghorn Neighborhood Center in Fitchburg. He has a bachelor’s degree in English from Florida Atlantic University and a master’s degree from the University of Central Florida.
"This is a pivotal time for RCAP Solutions as we emerge from the pandemic, preparing for new opportunities with a continued focus on our constituents,” said Scales in a press release. “Our dedicated staff has adjusted to unprecedented change and worked tirelessly to support underserved communities in the past two years. I recognize and applaud their demanding work and focus on reconnecting and supporting our team to be even stronger stewards of our mission.”
RCAP Solutions is the Northeast affiliate of the Rural Community Assistance Partnership, a national network of nonprofit partners serving communities across the country. It serves all six New England states, as well as New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
In the most recent fiscal year reporting, RCAP Solutions reported $38 million in revenue and more than $6.4 million in assets, according to the nonprofit tracking organization Guidestar.
