Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers is set to open in Worcester next week, making it the Louisiana-based fast food chain’s third location in Central Massachusetts.
Raising Cane’s new Worcester location will open at the former site of a Denny’s at 494 Lincoln St. on Tuesday, with the company set to mark the occasion with giveaways and a ribbon cutting. The new location was first announced in late 2024.
When doors open at 10 a.m., the first customer will receive a gift basket, while the first 100 visitors who purchase a combo meal will receive a free hat and voucher for a future combo meal, among other planned celebrations, according to a Raising Cane’s press release issued Thursday.
“We’re excited to continue expanding across Massachusetts and especially thrilled to join the Worcester community,” Ryan Helfer, area leader of restaurants for Raising Cane’s, said in the press release.
The property at 494 Lincoln St. is owned by NNN REIT, a Florida-based real estate firm, which purchased it in 2006 from Denny’s for $820,648, according to Worcester District Registry of Deeds records.
The new location is part of a company effort to open 100 new restaurants in 2025, and will join existing Raising Cane’s locations in Marlborough and Framingham. Known for its chicken fingers and sauces, the company has over 950 restaurants across 40 states.
Worcester has seen a rush of fried chicken-focused restaurants open, with business owners citing high consumer interest and relative ease of production.
