The Ragged Hill Cider Co. in West Brookfield officially opens its tasting room next week, the cidery said in a press release Tuesday.
The opening will coincide with a new cider — dubbed Traditional Semi-Dry — which the company calls slightly sweet, aromatic and medium-bodied with flavors of ripe fruit.
Full 12-ounce pours of both the Traditional Dry and Semi-Dry will be available for purchase at the tasting room which opens Saturday, Sept. 23.
The 60-acre orchard began making cider earlier this summer using apples grown at the site last year.
In addition to the tasting room at 94 John Gilbert Road, the cider can be purchased at Carter and Stevens Farm Store in Barre, Homefield Brewing in Sturbridge and the West Brookfield Farmers Market on Wednesdays from 3-6 p.m. until Oct. 11.
The tasting room will be open only on weekends from noon to 6 p.m.
