The Shure E500PTH Sound Isolating Earphone, a product designed by Clinton-based Radius Product Development, was named the winner of the 2007 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) Innovation and Design Award.
CES and partners host awards programs to honor both industry leaders and groundbreaking products and technologies.
Radius Product Development partnered with Shure, a firm specializing in microphones and audio electronics, to design the earphones, which provide high-definition sound, sound isolating sleeves to block outside noise, and a Push-To-Hear control, a feature that allows users to converse with others without removing the earphones.
In the near future, Radius will be releasing a major line of products at the Housewares Show in Chicago.
