Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester is planning to reopen its Early Childhood Education Lab School in the fall, the school announced on Wednesday.
The Lab School functions as a lab and training site for students in the college’s Early Childhood Education program.
The Lab School closed during the coronavirus pandemic as most operations were moved remotely.
“This renewed commitment directly responds to the needs of the Early Childhood Education program, and is in accordance with QCC’s strategic plan and equity initiative,” QCC President Luis Pedraja said in a statement. “The Lab School will have a phased reopening that is in accordance with licensure, health, and safety protocols, as is consistent with the reopening plans of the college.”
The announcement falls in line with QCC’s previously announced plan to resume in-person operations in the fall, following over a year of primarily remote programming due to the coronavirus pandemic.
