Three members of Quinsigamond Community College’s board of trustees are leaving the board in 2022 to pursue outside leadership roles, the Worcester school announced Thursday.

QCC’s board of trustees chair, Susan Coghlin Mailman, was elected to the Worcester School Committee. She resigned from QCC at the end of 2021 after six years as board chair. Mailman also served as QCC foundation director for nine years where she chaired the college’s most recent capital campaign. She is also the owner, executive chair, and treasurer of Coghlin Electrical Contractors, Inc. and Coghlin Network Services in Worcester.

Trustees Kimberly Roy and Tammy Murray are also leaving the board. Roy, who oversaw public and media relations for the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office, was appointed by Gov. Charlie Baker in July to serve as a commissioner on the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission. Murray is moving on to be the director of special education and itinerant services at the Central Massachusetts Collaborative, a public school in Worcester.

“These inspirational, powerful and impactful women have made an indelible impression on our College and its students,” said QCC President Luis Pedraja, in a statement. “It is with a heavy heart that we see them go but they are continuing to motivate and impact our student body by their successes, and we wish them the very best in their endeavors.”
