Q: What is the best part of your job?

A: I am always very glad to see the transition that many patients make from illness to recovery.

As patients see improvements in their health status, I am always glad for my participation in the process.

Q: Why did you choose a career in health care?

A: I believe that service to mankind is the best legacy that any person should strive to leave behind in this life.

Q: What’s your greatest challenge?

A: I believe public health is very challenging, especially in the developing countries. I worry a lot about how individuals will receive teachings presented to them on their health and how they may use them to improve their lives.

This interview was conducted and edited for length by Emily Micucci.
