Director – Finance and Business Support, Reliant Medical Group, Worcester
Birthplace: Calcutta
Residence: Shrewsbury
High school: St. Ann’s High School, Hyderabad, India
Colleges and degrees earned: Bachelor’s degree, Brunel University (U.K.); master’s degree, Clark University
Career highlights: Learning and being part of health care finance has been highly rewarding in many ways. The opportunity — with the help of experienced team members — to analyze complex funds flows, develop multifaceted financial models and provide key information to support strategic and tactical decisions for the organization, is fulfilling.
Community involvement: I volunteer in my son’s school as time permits, in addition to supporting various charities monetarily.
Ultimate career goal: Continue to do what I like and enjoy (finance), in a decision-making capacity, with an enjoyable work-life balance.
Non-relative you admire most: Former tennis player Stefan Edberg, for his phenomenal composure on court, under pressure and any level of stress. I admire this quality and strive to emulate it each and every day.
Favorite book: “Jonathan Livingston Seagull,” by Richard Bach
Hidden talents: I enjoy playing ping pong (contemplated turning professional several years ago)! After a long gap, I recently started playing again.
“By the time I turn 50, I’d like to have accomplished … a sense of satisfaction and joy with how I raised my son.”
