Holliston-based hockey equipment retailer Pure Hockey has acquired two retail stores from Bauer Hockey, one of the sport’s largest equipment manufacturers.
The two stores - one in Burlington and the other in Bloomington, Minn. - will become part of Pure Hockey’s 53 retail locations in the U.S.
Both stores will remain Bauer-exclusive locations, but will be owned and operated by Pure Hockey. The Burlington store will move to Pure Hockey’s existing location in Burlington and will reopen by the end of July.
The Bloomington location will continue to operate in its current location.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"Over the years, we've developed a very strong relationship with Bauer, and by acquiring the Bauer Hockey Experience stores, we can expand our retail footprint in Minneapolis and upgrade our existing location in Burlington, MA," Pure Hockey CEO David Nectow said in a statement.
The acquisition follows several others for the hockey retailer in recent years. In 2015, the company acquired California-based Hockey Giant and in 2016 acquired Missouri-based retailer Total Hockey.
