The Cannabis Control Commission made it eight marijuana retailers that are licensed to sell cannabis products in the state after notifying Temescal Wellness that it can open its Hudson and Pittsfield stores in three days.
Both locations could open Saturday.
The company last week got approval from the Worcester Planning Board to grow and manufacture adult-use cannabis products at an 18,000-square-foot facility.
Temescal Wellness is also planning a Framingham retail location.
The company plans to double its Massachusetts headcount to 150 to staff its expanding retail operations.
Both Hudson and Pittsfield locations were previously open for medical marijuana patients.
In addition to those locations, retail cannabis stores include Cultivate in Leicester, New England Treatment Access in Northampton, Theory Wellness in Great Barrington, I.N.S.A., Inc. in Easthampton, Pharmacannis in Wareham, and Alternative Therapies Group in Salem.
The Hudson location would be the first in the MetroWest area, while Temescal’s Pittsfield location is 20 miles north of Theory Wellness.
Temescal Wellness is on the CCC’s Thursday meeting agenda for final licenses to cultivate and manufacture cannabis products.
