Pillar Biosciences in Natick announced on Wednesday the appointment of Randy Pritchard as CEO, as the company’s founder and previous CEO Dr. Gang Song will transition to the role of chairman of the board, according to a press release.
Pritchard has more than 24 years of healthcare experience as a diagnostics executive focused on corporate strategy and sales and marketing, said the release. He most recently served as senior vice president of U.S. diagnostics marketing at Swiss biotechnology company Roche.
Song founded Pillar in 2014 as a global oncology company delivering in-vitro diagnostics with offices in Natick and Shanghai. In his role on the board, Song will lead the board and continue overseeing the company’s strategy.
Pillar in August was gained premarket approval from the U.S. Food & Drug Administration for a cancer diagnostic test.
